So you want to adopt a dog?

Thank you for considering adoption through Last Litter!

Our goal is to find each dog not just any home—but the right home: one that’s safe, loving, and committed for life. Many of the puppies we rescue come from unstable or uncertain beginnings, and it’s our job to make sure their next chapter is full of care, structure, and stability. By choosing adoption, you’re not only giving a dog a second chance—you’re becoming part of the solution to a much bigger problem.

We’re so grateful you’re here!

Our Adoption Process

1. Fill out the form

Start by filling out our adoption form—it helps us get to know you, your home, and the kind of dog you’re hoping to welcome into your life.

2. Let’s connect

Once we’ve reviewed your form, we’ll reach out for a quick chat and arrange a home visit with your whole household—including other pets—to make sure it’s the right fit.

3. Time to get official

If it’s a match, we’ll send over the adoption contract. Once signed, your trial period begins!

4. Trial period begins

Your dog joins your home for a 4-week trial. It’s a chance to settle in and see how things go—no pressure, and no hassle if it doesn’t work out.

5. Welcome to the family!

Once the trial ends, we’ll send your official adoption certificate—and your pup is officially part of the family.

Our Fees

The adoption fee per dog is $850, payable in full at the time of pick-up.

Why do we charge an adoption fee?

Every dog that comes through Last Litter receives medical care, vaccinations, deworming, supplies, and sometimes training or emergency boarding. These costs add up quickly and vary depending on each dog’s needs. Our adoption fee helps us cover a portion of those expenses so we can continue rescuing and rehoming litters in need.
